"I went to four other places in Rochester before I called you, and NOBODY would dare touch the piece. One guy said it would take up to three hours to sketch the outline alone. I was quite nervous as this was my first tattoo, but the relaxed atmosphere of your shop did wonders to put me at ease. The level of courteous professionalism displayed was beyond anything I imagined to encounter in a tattoo shop. You guys went out of your way to make sure I was comfortable and prepared. If you've considered getting a tattoo, Trey & Co. are the people you want to talk to first. Thanks for your extremely excellent service, as well as an amazing tattoo that turned out as perfectly as I had imagined. Since taking off the bandage, I've said "I got it at Liquid Image" at least ten times a day.
Thanks again for tolerating a noisy first-timer. Thank you for the impromptu appointment. I'm thoroughly impressed with how it turned out - I was a bit nervous that the detail would get blurred but you guys did a terrific job. I think Melissa will be getting a piece done there next weekend. Thanks again for providing a wonderful piece of art, and peace of mind during the process, for a terrific price."
Thanks.
Mark
"The Edge... There is no honest way to explain it, because the only ones
who know where it is are the ones who have gone over." - H.S. Thompson
This is my first tattoo done by Pat at Altered Image in Spencerport. As you can see the lines are F@#ked up. When it healed the whole tattoo was raised. I was thoroughly advised by my new artist at Liquid Image Tattoo that I was tattooed to deep, and that the inexperience of a person trying to tattoo without the proper training results in shaky lines that go into each other, blowouts, which are lines that look like the ink spread under the skin like you can see in my tattoo, and scarring which is the tattoo artist setting the needle at the wrong depth resulting in a raised scar. Trey told me there is not much you can do to fix it because the lines will become even wider and it will end up looking like a total blob of ink. Trey said she would not touch such a bad tattoo. There really is no fixing it except to cover it if possible.
I did get a new tattoo from Trey while I was there on my back and it is exactly what I wanted. It turned out great. Trey took a lot of time in preparation with me and even consulted me on what she thought would look better than what I even imagined. The price was really good as well. It wasn't a rip off like my first one. Any further tattoos will be done by Trey at Liquid Image Tattoo and Piercing, not to be confused with the joke down the street on Elmgrove. Thanks Trey…

This customer was truly ripped off in every sense. This client walked in that tattoo shop looking for experience and craftsmanship. She did not know that anyone can throw a sign up in a rented building, and start putting ink in people, and call themselves a tattoo artist. The upsetting part is that Kristin still had to pay for that pathetic inexperience she received and walk out with a scar for life because it is unremoveable from her body. I tell all customers who come in my shop the same thing I told Kristin, I do not cover up or try to fix any work from the shop where she got her tattoo because the best thing for her to do is show all of her friends, co-workers, and family to let them know to stay as far away from this shop as possible. Kristin told me she paid 45.00 for this tattoo. Cheap price but you see what cheap gets you. Now she can expect to pay thousands for removal and still be able to enjoy a discolored mark on her body the rest of her life. Kristin is 20 years old. Oh well, she only has another 50-60 years of looking at a lifetime mistake. This is a case of buyer beware.
A tattoo is not merely under your skin, it is a lifetime statement, a life long intention. A big part of the whole tattoo thing is the atmosphere of the shop you are in. At Liquid Image the atmosphere is encouraging, assuring, and truly a valuable part of our tattoo experience. Our interaction with Trey/Claudette/Rain/and Tao, was wonderful and enjoyable. We leave confident that quality work was artfully done and that indeed we came to the right place.
Peace and courage - Aram and Laurence....
Usually tattoo parlors hold a stigma of being hard, full of people who are unsure of why they are doing what they do. The crew at Liquid Image completely shattered my preconceived notions. Not only are they full of energy, creativity, and life, but they understood the importance, the weight of crafting a high quality tattoo.
Strength and honor... David
A tattoo is an expression translucent to life. A true testament to how I desire to live my life was made real at Liquid Image. Deeper than the tattoo was Trey and Claudette's creative expression, manifested in how they live life. The experience was truely sweeet.
Much love, Ken...
I wanted the Harley-Davidson bar-and-shield on my shoulder. I thought it was a no-brainer until I talked with Trey and showed her the picture I had brought. She explained about colors "bleeding" over time in some of the finer areas of the graphic and she spent about an hour with me modifying the image using various software, working toward a version with sufficient definition and space to keep the tattoo clear through the years. Using Adobe Photoshop with professional skill, she made subtle changes here and there to the dimensions and to the proportions, gaining space between and within letters, altering colors to fit the new medium, defining borders in a way that would discourage bleeding across those colors.
I'm happy I had Trey do this one. Another artist might simply have gone ahead with my original request without taking the time to think out the long-term ramifications. Trey wasn't just out to collect my money - she was concerned with every detail of this seemingly simple job. That is my definition of a craftsman and that is the kind of person I want when adding permanent images to my skin!
